Quartz Worktops

Quartz worktops have become increasingly popular around the world. They offer homeowners an affordable way to update their kitchens while still maintaining a practical look and feel, thanks in part to quartz’s ability to emulate stone without being as heavy or expensive – making it perfect for any home! Here at Prestige Stone Interiors, our team will help you manage your design choices before recommending what material best suits your needs; whether those be style preferences like solid surfaces or budget considerations on how much colour can fit into them well too.

Benefits Of Choosing A Quartz Worktop

Quartz is the toughest of all kitchen worktops, making it a great choice for your next renovation. Quartz’s durability makes food less likely to stick and stains are more easily wiped away with an alcohol pad or sponge because they don’t hold on as long in this type of material like other materials do; there isn’t even any need for resealing! However quartz does require some maintenance which includes surface cleaning every few months depending upon how often you use them (more than once per week), but these easy steps can be done quickly without worrying about chips/scratches over time thanks to its nonporous nature that naturally repels oils staining agents such as tomato sauce, beetroot juice and turmeric etc.

The fact that this material is engineered, not quarried, allows a much wider range of colours, colour matching, and consistency than you’ll find from searching through slabs of natural stone. Unlike cheaper laminate, quartz has an even, three-dimensional shine very similar to natural solid stone materials.

Quartz is a preferred choice by homeowners because it enhances the beauty of any kitchen. The sleek and shiny surfaces add to its attractiveness, while also adding value to your home. Quartz worktops are very durable, making them easy to clean and long-lasting for years to come! In addition, quartz has become one of the most popular choices among homeowners due to its modern look which can give you an instant makeover in minutes with minimal installation costs within a short time frame without affecting surrounding walls or other fixtures around here because they don’t require under-mount sinks either; which saves on extra plumbing expenses – not too bad at all right?

Granite Worktops

Nature’s creativity has inspired humanity since the beginning of time. The various formations that form stone are eternally unique, and they can serve as a foundation for every manufactured structure on Earth.

Granite is beautiful in its natural state but can also be coloured for an even more unique look. Granite specialist manufacturers now offer many granite countertops that seamlessly fit together to create granite kitchens that look like professionals designed them.

Granite worktops are becoming increasingly popular at homes because of the granite stone’s sturdy nature, they are also much more hygienic and easier to clean than other worktops, and they look fabulous when installed by granite specialists.

Granite is a hard stone, making it very durable and resistant to heat and impact damage. It can be sanded and polished to bring back its original shine or left natural with time; granite countertops are easier to clean than other kitchen surfaces.

Granite worktops are suitable for any kitchen; granite is the perfect material for a modern, contemporary home. In many cases, granite countertops can add value to your property.

FAQs

Marble has always been a go-to when it comes to kitchen countertops, but today’s granite is just as durable and luxurious at a fraction of the cost. Why choose between marble or granite when you can have both?

Granite is often mistaken for “just another type of stone,” but in fact, how granite forms make it much more durable than many other types of stones. Granite also resists staining easily due to its fatty composition, making it one of the most stain-resistant countertop surfaces available on the market today. Add that low maintenance factor with all the stylistic upside that comes with choosing this material for kitchen counters, and one can see why granite worktops are worth every penny.

Granite worktops vary in price, but you need to consider the following factors before making a purchase.

– The finish should be sealed – this is particularly important for kitchens

– You’ll also want to make sure that the material won’t discolour over time (you should ask about this before buying)

– Small chips and scratches are inevitable with granite, but try to find counters where they’re not too noticeable. They won’t always match your décor perfect, especially if you have tiles at home. However, that’s just the nature of granite. This is something you can live with too.

It’s possible to place hot pans and plates on granite worktops, but you should use a potholder or kitchen towel when you do, just in case something happens. Also, the granite surface is heated up by these objects, which can cause other things placed on top of it to heat up just as well. Fortunately, there are solutions available – such as using cooling mats- so put down some thought before deciding if this is really what you want in your kitchen. The bottom line: yes

Granite countertops can be susceptible to scratches and staining, so it is recommended that you cannot put anything oily or acidic on the granite surface.

Granite worktops are one of the best materials for your kitchen because they give you a chance to choose from many different patterns and colours. Peace of mind, too – they’re tough enough to handle heavy pots and pans with ease. The downside? They don’t come cheap! If this sounds like something that would suit your home, let’s find out a few more things before diving in headfirst! Before buying some, you should know a few things about working with granite worktops, especially if this is in your kitchen, where you cook every day.

In most cases, a water and vinegar solution is enough to clean granite worktops. The texture of granite makes it difficult for dirt to stick to its surface.

A common approach is wiping with water and baking soda mixed together on the dry surface, then adding a little bit of vinegar to rinse off the residue with cool water.

Yes, prolonged or intense exposure can damage the surface of your granite worktop.

The surface of a natural stone such as granite can be damaged by acidic liquids like wine, soft drinks and fruit. The porous structure of the actual stone means that once the damage has been done, it cannot be fixed, and also means that acidic liquids have a very high chance of damaging the surface.

We recommend ordering a high-quality worktop to avoid any disappointment with maintenance. The risk for stains or scratches is significantly reduced using a laminated or sealed worktop on both sides, reducing the absorption of fluids into the stone itself.
